Leading Cannabis Technology Analysis Firm Names Outside Experts to Board of Directors

Tim Kubiak

Tim Kubiak is a performance-driven global executive, consistently delivering double-digit revenue growth and driving highly strategic business initiatives to increase market share, customer loyalty, and profitability. He has been an innovator in designing and launching sales, distribution, and go to market strategies. Additionally Tim has a strong operational and global business experience to capture new revenue opportunities, penetrate new accounts, and boost sales performance. An effective leader of sales teams, global accounts, marketing teams and enterprise-wide initiatives has carried revenue responsibilities of up to $750M across 4 operating theaters. His customers included some of the largest most complex and geographically diverse companies in the Telecommunications, Software, SaaS, Security, and Services space.

 

Harry Brelsford

Harry Brelsford is the founder and principal analyst of The CannaTech Group and  SMB Nation (www.smbnation.com). He is a long-time SMB channel partner who has served customers and mentored other partners who are Managed Services Providers (MSPs) and SMB technology consultants).

Focused on the cannabis technology ecosystem, The CannaTech Group serves investors, private equity firm, venture capitalists, ISVs, distributors, OEMS and MSPs with critical cannabis technology insights and analysis.

He holds an MBA in Project Management from the University of Denver (and numerous certifications such as MCSE, MCT, CNE, et al) and is the author of 24 books on technology and business topics. His 20 years of SMB technology experience were supplemented by teaching 12+ years at night as an adjunct professor at Seattle Pacific University and other higher-learning institutions. He served as the Dean in the Graduate School of Technology at Aspen University (where he was awarded a PhD in Letters).

 

Jamar Freeman

Jamar is the President and Co-Chairman of Moonshot Equity Partners.

Jamar has more than 15 years of entrepreneurial and corporate experience leading teams to leverage industry best practices to deliver technology and software to markets across multiple industries. His expertise also involves M&A projects, in which he led teams from buyers and sellers to achieve targeted milestones and integrate technology to merge companies.

Jamar has a Master’s in Project Management, a B.S. in Technical Management, an A.A.S.in Electronics & Computer Technology, and is a certified project manager with the Project Management Institute (PMI).

 

Sterling F. Stoudenmire IV

Mr. Stoudenmire is executive proven in uniquely challenging situations involving turnaround, transformation, startup and innovation.  His career began in consulting with Accenture working with both Global 1000 and Medium Size Enterprises across a diverse array of industries including Financial Services, Travel, High Tech and Manufacturing/Distribution in both the Americas and Europe.

He departed Accenture in 2002 as a partner to pursue independent restructuring/transformation engagements, and completed 3 separate restructurings for Private Equity with 5X-10X returns, each in less than 2 years’ time.  These roles included stints as COO, CRO, and CEO, the last 10+ years as a CEO.

Following a successful restructuring engagement, Stoudenmire was asked to take on a startup in the newly emerging cannabis space, and built a successful company that is the largest greenhouse cultivation in the state of Colorado with 6 dispensaries.  The company achieves 25%+ EBITDA margins, with 50% annual growth.

Mr. Stoudenmire transitioned from a successful top-tier consultant to a chief executive through the synthesis of diverse skills in finance, strategy, and technology combined with innate ability to lead, inspire and mentor others.  An entrepreneurial perspective, combined with a financially disciplined, pragmatic approach yields extraordinary returns.

 

Paul Seaborn

Paul Seaborn is a management professor at the McIntire School of Commerce, University of Virginia and an expert on the emerging legal cannabis industry. In 2014, he published one of the first-ever teaching cases on the cannabis industry and in 2017 created and taught the first-ever Business of Marijuana course at any AACSB-accredited business school. Since 2015, he has organized or participated in more than a dozen conferences and symposia related to the cannabis industry, served as an expert witness and has been featured in over 30 different media outlets and a variety of academic publications. He is also a past section editor for the Journal of Cannabis Research. Prior to joining UVA, Prof. Seaborn was an Assistant Professor at the University of Denver and completed a PhD in Strategic Management at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. A native of Canada, he also has extensive experience in strategy and IT consulting with Mercer Management Consulting (now known as Oliver Wyman) and IBM Global Services.
